NOTE: Some have said that the Sater family is of Norweigan origin.
Perhaps that may be
true -- as indicated by some tall blonds in the family.
However, going back
13 generations we find ourselves in merry old England.
So, if there were Norweigan roots of this Sater family,
that would be more than 13 generations ago.

Henry I. Sater (born about 1600)
and Elizabeth Nye were married
on 28 August 1628 Sussex, Western shires of England.
They were the parents of:

Alexander Sater of England was born
about 1670 in Chichester, Sussex, England. He married
Sarah Godfrey on 03 January 1687/88
at some location in Sussex, England.

Henry Sater
Henry Sater was benefactor and Founder of the first Baptist Church
to be built in Maryland. That Church was built in 1716 and remains open
with historical site designation.
A biographical book about this Henry Sater's Life is available in the Indiana State Library
and the Library of Congress.
Henry Sater was born in 1689 in England, and died in May of 1754.
He married Mary King Stevenson
(born about 1712 in an unknown Maryland location; married to Henry
Sater about 1730 in Stevenson, Baltimore County, Maryland)
and Dorcus Ossage Towson
(born about 1712 in London, England; married to Henry Sater in
September 1739 in Chestnut Ridge, MD).
